 China and the United States have ratified the Paris Agreement on climate change, a very important step since the two countries together account for around 40% of global carbon emissions.
This is the signal many other countries have been waiting for – an agreement that many thought could not be possible. Now that it has happened, let us not hold our breath too long before the target of 55 countries is reached. |
